And I recently made a mistake by deciding to use another hosting company, I thought it would be a good idea t o use someone based in the UK and I chose a big brand – 1&1. I didn’t know what I was going for… I was going for a ride… that cost me time and money that I wasted…
It all started when I signed up and tried to contact them and heard nothing for 24 hours or more (with Freehostia I hear back from them within 15-25 minutes!), and whenever I would call them, the stuff they were telling me, I couldn’t understand it! And I’m a clever person, I know a lot about technology and I was stunned!
But it started getting really interesting when I finally managed to cancel my contract (after spending a lot of time and money calling them, they don’t have a free line). They still charged me (despite advertising 6 months for free…) and I couldn’t get my domains back to my current hosting provider… What a nightmare… And to make it worse, one of my website is down… and will be for 60 days…
So, if you like visiting my photography website – mar-photos.com – please be patient, the website will be up and running in about 40 days or so, I am really sorry for that and I promise you I will add more images. In the meantime, you can see my images on Google+, here’s a link for you:
