Thousands of Free Images from Paris Musees

Paris Musees free images

Paris Musees, organisation which manages all of museums in Paris, has given everyone access to thousands of free images on their new online portal – Collections Portal. Here’s the link – Collections Portal.

At the moment of writing this, there are 150,213 free images on their website – just scroll down the main page a little bit and you’ll find this:

These are all high-resolution images – digital reproductions of classic artwork and photographs. All the images in this collection are available for free under Creative Commons License.

Included in the collection are also scans from some of the earliest photographs from photographers like Roger Henrard and Eugene Atget. And many others.

Here’s an example of a scan of a photo dating back to 1916:

Because all the images are licensed under Creative Commons, anyone can download all these images and use them.
