We have never had a way to select objects with a single click in Photoshop (unless you count Magic Wand tool, which in a way could achieve that but couldn’t select an entire object). You could select a part of an object (like a hat on person’s head) with Magic Want tool but there was no way to select the entire object (like a person)… until now.

Now, in the latest version of Photoshop CC 2018, we have a new feature – Select Subject – which selects an entire object/subject with a single-click!
