Layers in Lightroom?

Perfect LayersThis is probably one of the “most missing” features in Lightroom. This is also a question I get a lot from people on my Lightroom courses.

By the way, have a look on my Lightroom courses here:

Now, let’s get back to talking about layers in Lightroom. We’re not here to talk about my Adobe Certified Training in Lightroom. At least not today.

Let’s talk about “Lightroom layers”. OnOne software created a new plug-in for Lightroom – Perfect Layers. Using Perfect Layers, you can combine a number of images and create a single, layered document. According to OnOne software, Perfect Layers will have support for Adobe Bridge and Apple Aperture.

With Perfect Layers you can create and edit multi-layered Photoshop files directly within Photoshop Lightroom or use it to combine images from within other applications. Use it to change skies, composite multiple images together and retouch portraits using the built-in blend modes.

Perfect Layers is now available as a public free preview that can be downloaded from here:

Have fun! 🙂
