Geo-location tools are great, especially when you are on the move. Most of you have probably used them in the past, especially if you have a smartphone.
Geo-location in smartphone applications is a very useful feature, especially when you’re trying to find something.
However, you may not want every website to know exactly where you are.
Here’s how you can turn the geo-location off:
In Firefox:
– In the address bar type about:config,
– Find entry geo.enabled, and change its value to false, as shown here:
In Chrome:
– Choose Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Content Settings,
– Select Do not allow any site to track my physical location.
