The New York Public Library announced a release of almost 200,000 images as Public Domain images from its’ collection.

This huge collection of images, old photographs, documents as well as illustrations is now available to browse through and use.

This is a massive collection of images so what you can do is narrow down images you’re looking for. For example, you can choose Group By Genre on the right side of the page:

Because these images are in public domain, it means that you can whatever you want with them and you don’t need permission to use them. They’re free to use for any projects you may be working on.
