The Societies Photo Convention

The SocietiesThe last few days saw a photography convention in London – The Societies convention.

If you came along, I hope you used your time to attend the talks and presentations, as well as visiting booths of many many exhibitors that appeared at the convention.

I, on my part, took a walk along all the trade show floors (it was on few floors as the event took place in one of the hotels). It was interesting that I haven’t seen all the photography manufacturers, like Nikon or Sigma or Sony. I only saw Canon. Surprisingly, Canon had this tiny stand with just a few cameras (6D and 1DX obviously) and just a few lenses. Quite disappointing for one of the biggest camera and lens manufacturers in the world…

Olympus was there as well as Fujifilm, and many companies specialising in photo print, manipulation, and studio/flash lighting. I enjoyed the talks/presentations during the convention and I made sure that I didn’t miss the ones from Frank Doorhof and Sean McCormack.

I have recorded some videos of the presentations for you to watch them if you couldn’t attend the convention or if you missed the presentations.

Enjoy watching the videos.
