A while ago I did a post on the history of Photoshop and shared with you some interesting information about some milestones in the history of Photoshop – the most popular graphics editor. Does anyone remember when it was? I don’t… 😉
Today, I want to share some additional information about the evolution of Photoshop.
Here are some interesting facts in the history of our favourite application:
- the first version only ran on Mac, the first version running on Windows was 2.5
- the adoption of the CMYK colour mode in Photoshop in the 90s led to the widespread adoption of Photoshop by printing professional (something that was until recently missing from applications like Gimp)
- photoshop is now available in 22 languages. Is your language on the list?
- according to web resources, Photoshop is the 4th most pirated software (interesting enough number 1 belongs to Norton AntiVirus…)
