Adobe made quite a big announcement that involves Photoshop CS6 owners.

Adobe have announced that the next update to Camera Raw – Adobe Camera Raw 9.1.1 – is going to be the last one for Creative Suite 6 owners (Photoshop CS6, Bridge CS6).

What it means is that from now on, only Creative Cloud subscribers will be receiving updates to Camera Raw. Owners of Photoshop CS6 will need to keep using Camera Raw 9.1.1 (which will not include support for raw files from newer cameras) or convert their raw files to DNG using a DNG Converter from Adobe to keep working on their raw files.

We saw it coming and it was just a matter of time. In the long run it had to happen.

There is no word on when Camera Raw 9.1.1 will become available yet.
