Adobe Photoshop Touch SDK & Apps

PhotoshopWelcome! It’s Thursday and it’s another beautiful day! Let’s talk Photoshop today.

Adobe has announced Adobe Photoshop Touch SDK & Apps! What does it mean to us? It means the power and precision of Photoshop on one hand and the fun on devices on the other hand.

Adobe have just released free Adobe Photoshop Touch Software Development Kit (SDK) to communicate between mobile devices and Photoshop CS5. It sounds exhilarating, doesn’t it? This will allow the developers to offer a multitude of interactive apps.

To show what’s possible, Adobe are going to release three iPad apps soon. Here’s what Adobe say about these three apps:

  • Adobe Color Lava, which allows you to mix colors on the iPad, creating custom color swatches and themes to transfer back into Photoshop.
  • Adobe Eazel, which lets digital artists create rich realistic paintings with their fingertips. These paintings can then be sent directly to Photoshop CS5 for compositing or to take the artwork further.
  • Adobe Nav, which allows you to  select and control Photoshop tools using the iPad as the input surface, customize the toolbar, browse and zoom in on up to 200 open Photoshop files or easily create new files.

I hope you enjoyed it. Have a fabulous day and see you here tomorrow.
